BLOGSTOP. Last post for a while - but watch this space, and nobody can stop you from commenting...

Hi ya all

In most things that we view as bad or negative, there are often awesome positives that come with. You see, my blog has been dealt a harsh blow! I have been told by the Eye in the Sky to stop blogging, and, since I am nothing more than a humble servant, I obey.

And hey, I understand - it's not so unreasonable, this is unchartered territory and I suppose they aren't in control of it and maybe this scares them. Freedom of speech seems to be our eternal battle in every corner, nevertheless, we go with what we have...

Maybe they will catch up one day, and hey BigEyes, if you are reading this, then maybe we can work on something together for future shows - you know, like create blogs on the official site for the final contestants that can be moderated and censored, if it's the lewd and rude you want to keep out... this is something we should pursue, after all, a lid is never forever and innovation is key in learning how to navigate this economic downturn. Blogging is a hard reality in our modern community, so it won't be long... Guess the pioneers just have to bear the brunt!

OK people, so thanks for all the support and comments. Please don't stop rounding up the troops and getting your friends and family to watch the show and vote. Also, feel free to visit this blog and post your comments, cause it will come alive again soon, and there are people who will make posts here, but not from me, else I'll get in trouble.

I will be singing my heart out this weekend - hope you enjoy it! Oh, and hey, why not pop down to a nursery nearby and plant a new tree in your garden?! Only good to come from that one, so that's my suggestion for the day!

Training Day

There is certainly no rest for the wicked! I tell you this competition is not for sissies! We start our vocal training today for the top 12 show which we will be performing on Sunday. Our vocal coach is brilliant and I have complete confidence in her ability to bring out the best in us as well as the song, which I might add, is going to be a challenge!

Things are certainly heating up here at the Idols house with our hectic schedule, not to mention the emotions we are all put through on a daily basis! We have requested a daily visit to the gym which I believe will help calm the nerves, relieve the stress and put our bodies back in shape. Lets hold thumbs and pray management allow it!

Just to let you all know that The Men of The Trees nursery is under construction and will hopefully be up and running in the next few weeks thanks to the help of my father Sam and my brother Scott, who are not only building the nursery but are keeping our band flag flying by performing live every week between KZN and JHB! thanx you guys! I wouldn't be here without you!

Well it's my turn in the vocal booth! Wish me luck! Hold thumbs!

See ya soon

Jay

Making the cut!

Well, if you caught the show last night on Mnet, and you're rooting for me, then maybe you felt a fraction of the nerves I was feeling while we stood helplessly waiting to find out which one of the last three on stage was the second person to be sent home.

It was a strange feeling when they announced it would be Thuba - a strange mix of relief, happiness and sadness as it dawned on me that we would have to say cheers to our man, the late night singer of the Idols house. Thuba man, we will miss you, and I reckon our paths will cross some time in the future. You are young man, believe me, and you will go places. I look forward to checking you in the future and where you will be. Good luck.

And then, the happiness and relief - phew, what can I say? It feels good. I have another crack now! Shucks, I'm going to have to do something special this weekend - and it all starts with making peace with the song that has been selected for me: but you'll have to wait and see what that is. Let's jst say this, there is potential to do something a little different here. Hope the world likes it...

So what? What's this all about? Well, I've decided to get a little intimate with the world - to tell some of my stories to South Africa... to share this amazing experience and how it makes me feel, what it makes me think...

This is Jason's corner... thanks for taking the time to stop by, and please, leave a comment behind - your words mean a lot to me out here.

Hugs
Jay
